Can someone explain my Vegas rewards for OBC

Recommended Posts

After reading the terms and conditions, I have another question. It states that you can have 2 rewards in a rolling 180 day period. However, only one of this type of reward can only used by each MyVegas member. Does that mean that you can only get one 250.00 reward?? Has any one got more than one of the 250.00 rewards? Thanks!

Where are you seeing this? I'm reading one reward per player, per sailing. That means you can use more than one, just not on the same cruise.

It will not let me copy and paste. When you go to the rewards section, go to the 250.00 reward, and then go to terms and conditions.

Okay. I found it. IF the RCCL rewards work the same as the other MyVegas rewards, you can use one per "batch." They reload the batches every few months. I have used the $250 credit twice now.

Great. I hope so because I want to plan another cruise and use another OBC. Thanks!!

Hey All -

Thanks for starting this thread. In the past (like 2 years ago) my understanding was that you could only get the OBC if you made the new booking with no other offers (no BOGO, no OBC offers) but now it looks like you can just claim the reward through MyVegas and just forward the reward email to clubroyale@rccl.com and they just apply the OBC to your booking if you have made it in the past 14 days. (From other posts it looks like if you are not past final payment date you can rebook and apply the OBC)

I went through a TA last week and got the KSF combined with BOGO and got into (2) Balconies with $400 OBC for pretty cheap (2nd cheapest sailing to date for us). With all those discounts I thought for sure I would be denied the 250 OBC from MyVegas. On top of that we booked last week for a December 14th sailing so we had to pay in full so I assumed it would be a no go. But this afternoon (Sunday @ 1pm) I redeemed the award (100k coin for 250 OBC) and forwarded the email (See Below) and within 2 hours I received an email back stating that the 250 OBC had been applied to my booking and that I could go online to my account and start spending it in the planner immediately. No call to my TA or anything like that. It was way too easy.

Email below for reference to those who have not redeemed yet. (just go into the MyVegas app and redeem the award... pretty self explanatory if you are familiar with MyVegas) If the award is not in the Mobile version, Try Facebook, or one of the many different mobile versions or facebook versions. They seem to have different rewards in different locations.

PS - All the important information (Coupon code number and my personal information) has been removed from this post. So don't think that copying/pasting/forwarding this email will get you 250.00 OBC on your cruise.

I just booked the Anthem of the Seas for October 2018 which included $100 OBC. I cashed in My Vegas Rewards for the $250 OBC. Followed the instructions and sent the email. I was emailed the next day saying the OBC had been added. I can go into my Cruise Planner and see both the $100 OBC for booking and the $250 for the My Vegas Rewards both of which have been converted into Canadian Funds. Of note, the US to Canadian Dollar Conversion Rate fluctuates for the OBC until the first purchase on the Cruise Planner and then the conversion rate at that time is fixed going forward.

Has anyone ever redeemed a myvegas OBC against a booking made on royalcaribbean.co.uk? Because UK deposits are non-refundable, I thought i'd ask before pulling the trigger.

Shouldn't matter. I tried to get another hundred on my wifes name as she is listed in the other room (Need one adult per room on reservation) and they wouldn't take it because my name is the name in the MyVegas app. But they refunded the MyVegas coins right back to my account. Doesnt hurt to try :)

Booked the free balcony cabin offer on Harmony that RCCL sent out the end of September. I was excited yesterday when I thought I could get $250 obc to cover zoom and gratuities, etc. But rccl responded back that it was not combinable with another offer. I knew that was good to work but thought I'd try.

Assuming you followed the instructions and submitted the email address in the redemption instructions? I redeemed in combination with other offers but maybe the caveat is you have to have a paid reservation?

I just booked a cruise while on Oasis going to NextCruise. My booking also goes back to my TA (big box store) but I submitted for the $100 OBC following the instructions. I will let folks know if I was successful. If I was, I shall continue to play this game and earn more coins. If not, I may play occasionally as I do enjoy it - but probably not quite as much as I do now.

BTW, I am in the US so the booking is a US booking.

I agree with all the other posters that obtaining the OBC is simple and straightforward. Bought the reward yesterday afternoon, sent the info to casino royale last evening and had my credit by 1 pm this afternoon.

One other question though. Does using a MyVegas reward help with the upgrade fairy at all? Just wondering.

Already heard back and I got the OBC! Super easy. I just submitted for the reward yesterday and already heard back today. Guess my obsession playing PopSlots shall continue :-)

Contacted Club Royale at day 30. They advised by email that I needed to have my TA (who happens to be my DD) call and they will apply the OBC. Cruise was originally booked with the TA.

Was told they would re-price, but it is only about a $40 increase. No brainer there.

Finally, MyVegas is paying off for something. Haven't been able to get to Vegas for real.

Shell,

Did they say why you had to reprice?

I booked on board 10 days ago and got a price and OBC that I'm happy with for a cruise in December 2018. Right now I have enough Gold Coins to get a $100 reward, but I think I can have enough for the $250 reward within the 30 day window.

Does anyone know if I am putting myself at risk of a reprice if I try to build up enough gold coins by day 27 or so?

Thanks.

The deal is you have to apply the coupon to a 'New Booking' means that the booking had to have been made within the past 30 days and you only have within 2 weeks to apply the coupon when redeemed.

My understanding is that If you are past that 30 day period then you need to 'rebook' or in essence 'reprice' the booking so it now becomes a new booking.

There is a caveat to repricing though. If you made the booking with a non refundable deposit, your out 200$ (100 for you and 100 for your 2nd) possibly more if you have more than 2 on your reservation.

Also - if you are past final payment you lose a bit of money as well. At the minimum your entire deposit.

Lastly you could lose whatever special deals you got with your original booking.

So be careful when you call up and rebook or reprice your cruise. Make sure you know what it's going to cost you to apply that 250$ credit.

Sean,

Thanks for the sanity check, that's the way I interpreted the email from My Vegas posted earlier in the thread.

I guess I will be driving my wife crazy playing My Vegas for the next two and a half weeks. The extra $250 OBC should cover her Royal Replenish Package though.

Your advice to be careful when rebooking/repricing is excellent. The devil is indeed in the details.

Tom -

Here is another downer. MyVegas just updated the Facebook app (similar to what they did with the mobile) They give you more coin but the cost per spin has gone up 10x and the amount you have to spend now to get loyalty coins is much higher.

So it seems it'll take 2 to 3 times as long to earn those loyalty points now.

I just noticed this yesterday.

Sorry for all the bad news all at once ;)

I also thought this was a horrible thing, but I suddenly seem to be earning LPs a lot faster than I did before.

Just a heads up, but, if they are linked to the same Facebook account, you can sync and earn gold LP coins on MyVegas Blackjack, Konomi Slots and Pop Slots in addition to MyVegas. I find Pop Slots to be the most generous in the daily free chips and stuff.

A BIG thank you to the Op Funbobby68! I learned about MyVegas when I saw your post sometime in August. I've already earned enough gold LPs for two $250 OBC and look forward to redeeming them in the future. And they haven't cost me a single penny since I only play with the free chips. Sweet! :D
