Hakone or Kamakura from Yokohama

We are in Yokohama on 2 separate occasions and looking at day trips to Hakone and also to Kamakura.

Has anyone any suggestions / advise for either on your own or an organised tour to either.

Both destinations are easily and quickly reached from Yokohama.

Kamakura is the closer one, and easily toured on your own. Just walking around the town, visiting the large Buddha and Enoshima, are easy and fun.

Hakone is a bit further away, and a bit more complicated. There is quite a bit to see, spread out over a rather large area. I might choose a guided tour for Hakone.

Came across another post here on the Asia board that talked about Goodwill Guides. Might be worth a google Tranquillity Base?

Have decided on a DIY day trip to Kamakura on our next trip, and will overnight in Hakone during our following trip.
