Luggage at Barcelona

There is a van outside the terminal where you can drop off your luggage for a fee, they will deliver your luggage to the airport 2 to 3 hours before your flight. We have used them many times and always had reliable service.

This is a guide to luggage storage.

I cannot recall port luggage facilities but leaving luggage in the port does not seem a good idea because you would have to then back track and pick them up.

So three options:

1. The bag delivery service mentioned - I would look into that

2. book a tour that keeps your luggage with you,

3. leave your bags in one of the central storages and pick them up before getting a taxi to the airport. Allow enough time for this.

Enjoy Barcelona - it is a great city. Go to the Barcelona port board and find out more about it.

This sounds like a good service. This may sound silly, but if you leave your luggage out side your cabin for collection the night before disembarking, will it be brought to a holding area in the airport for collection later in the day?,or do you have to get the transfer bus that your luggage is on?

If you are going to use baggage storage Barcelona, do you hold your luggage in your room and take it off the ship yourself the next morning.

Sorry for being a newbie but we are going on our first cruise next June on the new msc Bellissima, we finish our cruise in Barcelona at 6am and our flight is not in till 11pm so we have a full day in the city, and getting rid of our bags would be brilliant.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are enquiring about bags and go, you put your luggage outside your cabin as normal.

Then after disembarking the ship you collect your luggage in the luggage hall like every one else.

There will be a stand in the luggage hall to drop your luggage with the company. They will take your luggage in a van to the airport ready for you to collect later in the day. It is cheaper to pre-book this service.

You make your own way to the airport to collect your luggage and then get your flight home.

Give yourself time to collect your luggage, as from memory I think collection in this scenario is from left luggage in terminal 1.

Your welcome, we have used this service a few times, would use them again if needed.

Yes, we've used this service too & all was fine ...but PLEASE do take note they only deliver your bags to T1 of the airport ...so if you are flying from T2 ( as many UK flights like Easyjet do) then you must allow quite a bit of extra time to pick up your bags from deep down in the bowels of T1 & then get back up to ground level to get the shuttle bus between the 2 terminals!
