princess cruise drinks package

I am due to go on regal princess at the end of the month. I purchased the drink package prior to September. I believe they now have a limit on drinks. when I go on holiday I like to party a bit, and part of the reason for buying the package is so that I don't need to worry about how much my drinks are going to cost at the end of the cruise. now I am.going to be worrying if I have gone over the limit. is this policed? I read it was at the cruise staffs discretion?

no I do not have a drink.problem before anyone asks but would have a few cocktails whilst around the pool, a beer with lunch, couple of wines with evening meal and maybe an aperitif. few drinks in the casino, one whilst watching a show and then a few in the nightclub.

seems like princess are becoming a bit of a damp squid and are appealing to the old and not so much fun passengers again. I have been sailing with princess for 25 years and there seems to be more and more restrictions being imposed at a whim to suit the cruise line not it's passengers

I have been told you get 8-9 drinks each day with the package. After that many you will be charged per drink every day you are over the daily limit. We don't drink beer or during the day & I bring my own wine so we aren't interested in the package.

I did get the wine package once and found out the wine I got was under their price I paid per bottle when I got home.

If you are paying for a drink, ask for the house brand. This is the lowest price for the drink. The waiter won't just bring you highest price & tip drink.

I just got off a 25 day B2B on Princess with the drinks package (all 6 members of our party had it) so I can assure the OP that this is wrong.

The package limit is 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hour period (6 am to 6 am) and even that includes the wiggle room in the notification that enforcement is at the staff's discretion. I suspect (have not heard of it being invoked on either our cruise or on any postings on the Princess board) that If you are falling down drunk Princess will tell you that you need to wait for another drink until the clock resets. If you surpass the 15 drink limit in 24 hours and are still functioning, you will be charged the regular price for additional alcoholic drinks.
