Ship - Liberty of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 1578

Stateroom Category – GS

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet. Only issue was the idiot ADULTS who rang the door bell and then ran.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Midship balcony with unobstructed view

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Standard size for GS

Was wind a problem? - No issues with wind at all, even while sailing at top speed

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No. Everything was in working order and the cabin was spotlessly clean when we boarded. A problem cropped up with the bathroom door and the steward had it taken care of before we even had a chance to tell her about it.

Any other comments? - The carpet in the hall in front of this cabin was changed out during the May 20, 2018 sailing. The new carpet had double padding and we noticed that we no longer heard any footsteps coming from the hallway. Liked the location so much we tried to book the same cabin for next year. Had to settle for the cabin next door as this one was already booked.

Ship – Oasis of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 229

Stateroom Category – 2J

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? This cabin is next to the ice machine and service area. At times there was some noise (about 8a – 11a), but for the most part it was quiet. We travel with a Marsona sound machine so any noise did not bother us. Bed is next to the balcony.

Was stateroom aconnecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View – Balcony is almost directly over Trellis Bar. Has a beautiful view of Central Park. We even watched a wedding .

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized forclass? – Very nice oversized balcony. Had two sets of tables and chairs.

Was wind a problem? - Surprisingly there can be wind in Central Park. During a couple of rain storms we heard a “woo woo” sound when the door was open. With the sliding door closed and locked it blocks the sound.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? –N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Loved this cabin and would book again because of the location and extra-large balcony. Also loved the Neighborhood perks that come with booking Central Park balcony cabins. FYI – during the day you will hear some noise from the pool deck, but we loved it – we could relax on the balcony and still feel like we were in the excitement of the cruise. During the evening, it is VERY quiet.

Two entry points to the balcony

Was wind a problem? - No problems with the wind, encased balcony.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A.

Other Comments:

No PS2 or X-box, no sound system

Ship - Jewel of the Seas

Deck - 11

Stateroom # - 1140

Stateroom Category – Spacious Oceanview Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, for the most part. Running track above room but only noticed a couple of mornings. Not a problem.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Window Cleaning Apparatus obstructed over half the balcony. Poorly designed balcony floor; floor has to be mopped by towel when rain or other cabin runoff appears. You do not want to be barefoot or wear flip flops. The eleven other newer rooms are not obstructed nor have drainage problems. Only this one does and RCI does not mention it when booking nor does it appear obstructed on deck plan.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - Very windy. When balcony door is open and someone walks into the cabin every piece of paper flies. It is a wind tunnel; second time this happened, my better half got hit by both bathroom door flying open in his face then immediately a moment later the closet door hitting him in head.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - As aforementioned.

Any other comments? - Very disappointing. First RCI cruise and first bad balcony we’ve ever had.

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No

Any other comments? - Bed was a bit uncomfortable for my taste. Very convenient location once we got familiar with the ship. Had a wonderful cabin steward, Linda Andersen.

Ship - Freedom of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 1706

Stateroom Category - Junior Suite

Starboard or Port side - Center aft facing cabin

Quiet stateroom? Very quiet. No noise from the Windjammer above.

Connecting stateroom? Yes, connected with the standard balcony cabin next door. Solid barrier between the balconies, though.

Balcony view - nice view of the wake, but the view was obstructed by the superstructure on the back of the ship.

Balcony size - huge balcony for a JS, enough room for two loungers, two chairs and a table

Was wind a problem? - No. Actually, not much air moving back there at all unless you stood at the rail.

If an any cabin, was spot a problem? - No.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - There was a musty smell in the hallway outside the cabin on embarkation night. Within two days it was bad in our cabin, and we asked to be moved. We had another room for one night while they worked on the problem, and then we went back. RC staff was very accommodating in making this happen and offered us 20% future cruise credit due to the inconvenience.

Any other comments? - The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever had on a cruise. Stateroom attendant Olga was fabulous!

Ship - Adventure of the Seas

Deck - Six

Stateroom # - 6366

Stateroom Category – 6B

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –

Quiet, even though across hall from service area.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue.

Deck 6 is above life boats, and the front of the balcony under the rail is solid, not glass as on higher decks.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Water pressure was not very powerful, and the shower sometimes got very hot, usually when showering pre-dinner. Did not seem to be an issue if showering earlier or later in the day.

Any other comments? - We normally prefer a location closer to the elevators, but booked this stateroom because we were traveling with a group and were able to get 4 neighboring rooms, so the location worked well for us in that regard.

Ship - Harmony of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 10213, 10211, connecting cabins

Stateroom Category – 2J, Central Park View Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – This was the perfect distance from the pool deck so noise didn't filter down at night. And it was right above where the musicians would play so always had music in the evening.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes

Balcony View - Central Park View, right above where the musicians play at the forward end of the Rising Tide Bar ceiling.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal sized balcony with 2 chairs and a round dining type table.

Was wind a problem? - No. It was nice to hear the breeze in the foliage.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No.

Any other comments? - Great location, dead mid-ship, so there is a lot of walking wherever you're going. The balcony doesn't offer the same level of privacy as an Ocean View Balcony because you have "neighbors" right across the way, so keep those curtains closed when changing!

For 10213, the bed was by the balcony.

For 10211, the bed was by the bathroom.

Also, they opened the balcony divider for us, so we had a larger balcony to use.

Ship - Oasis of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 10452

Stateroom Category – 3V Interior

Starboard or Port Side - Neither, it's right in the center

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, because it is just off an elevator lobby I was a bit concerned but it was very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? - For an interior, we were extremely pleased. The storage was very good with little nooks all over. Our king bed was at the far wall and we asked our steward to make up the sofa bed as a single with the back in place for our daughter. This configuration and excellent design made the room feel more spacious. This room location was very convenient, easy to get all over the ship including two of our favorite areas - Central Park and the Solarium, and easy for our tween daughter to find right next to the forward elevators any time she came back from the club. The temperature was nice and cool and we slept quite well. Overall we were very comfortable. The décor felt current and attractive.

Ship - Oasis of the Seas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 504

Stateroom Category – 6N

Starboard or Port Side - Forward, Starboard side

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Various noises, toilets flushing, unidentifiable noises, however, not a problem when you're on a cruise! You definitely heard all the noises associated with docking.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes, could hear toilet flushing but again not a big deal

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This is an oceanview cabin. Very front of the ship, considered starboard side but facing forward with a view of the water and the helicopter landing area. It has a curtain at the large rectangular window with an area under the window that you can't walk under without hitting your head. With this area it does make the room seem larger. We stored some of our luggage under it.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A

Was wind a problem? - N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - With it being at the front of the ship it made for quite a long walk to go anywhere but it helps with keeping the weight gain under control!

Any comments?

Ship - Brilliance

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8586

Stateroom Category – E1

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – This cabin is located just off the Centrum, but with the main hallway door closed each evening, noise was not a problem for us.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Awesome views... end of the hump. Deck below us had the lifeboat covers right off their balcony, but we weren't interested in looking down so it wasn't an issue for us.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized, which is why we picked it. Traveling with DD, so needed a good sized area to relax if needed. Plenty of room for the table and chairs... could have fit loungers, instead, if desired. Loved having coffee or glass of wine out there!

Was wind a problem? - On occasion, but it was summer in the Med, so we enjoyed the breezes whenever possible.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Nope~ just what we wanted! 3rd bed for DD was the love seat style with mattress low to the floor. Not a problem for her, but an adult could struggle getting out :)

Any other comments? - loved the location ~ close to the Centrum, easy to get to elevators on other side, but only traffic was people who had to be there. Loved being able to sit at tables around Centrum and listen to the music and people watch!

Stateroom # - 6218

Stateroom Category – 4D

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very Quiet

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Slightly obstructed by lifeboat, if you looked straight down

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - NA

Any other comments? - This cabin was pretty much dead center between the 2 elevator lobbies. It was a long walk no matter which way you went. It did make it easy to get to either end quickly. It was also convenient to the Boardwalk and Promenade.
