Mountaineer0313 Posted June 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Looking at the wifi packages and considering not doing anything, because it's vacation and I really don't care what's going on at home or work. However, I know my husband will want to keep in contact with work. Our phones have personal hot spots. If I get voom on one device, can we just tether the other phone to it using the personal hotspot?

grandgeezer Posted June 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Your wifi package is not tied to one device. You will be given a password and you can use it on any device, but you can only use the wifi on one device at a time. Which means you both can't be on at the same time. Biker19 Posted June 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Our phones have personal hot spots. If I get voom on one device, can we just tether the other phone to it using the personal hotspot? I think the S8 (and newer) can do it via WiFi and some phones might be able to share their WiFi connection via bluetooth. It would probably be easier to just share and use it one at a time. ATSEAMYLIFE Posted June 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Try it at home, if it works on WiFi at home it will work on WiFi on the ship.
Rare LisaLisa87 Posted June 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2018 My DH, DD, and I have shared a 1-device package and it worked out fine for us. We just took turns logging in. Sent from my iPad using Forums
dadofjessie Posted June 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2018 On our last cruise on the Allure we had Voom for 2 devices. It worked out very well as we were able to use it to even contact each other.
