Clearwater Beach and Gombey's

We are thinking of taking the ferry to St George's from the dockyard, then take a taxi to Clearwater Beach and have lunch/drinks at Gombey's next month. Has anyone done this recently? Will Gombey's be open the last week of June? How easy will it be to get a taxi back to the ferry? Thanks!

We went on Wednesday (6/13) and had a lovely time there. We wandered through Cooper's Reserved found a couple of small coves with no one there where we swam and snorkeled. It was one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. We went back and shared a delicious fish sandwich and beverages at Gombey's, and then spent a couple of hours on the beach there. We grabbed a ride from a Gypsy cab driver back to St George. She primarily takes people back and forth between St George and Clearwater from what I could gather. She charged $20 which seemed a bit steep, but she was a riot so it was worth it to us, especially since we are not patient people and didn't want to deal with the bus.
