There is no way to tell.

Carnival will keep you safe and will change ports if necessary.

Hurricanes happen but they impact a very small percentage of cruises. The worst that can happen is if one is due to hit your departure port on the day you are scheduled to depart or return.

Happy sailing.

I am booked on the liberty in October and if a hurricane comes they will just change our destination. We always cruise during hurricane season (cheaper rates so you can go more often) Last year our 6 day cruise turned into an 11 day at no extra cost. We ended up at different ports but had beautiful weather and calm sea where they took us.

Hurricane season runs through 11/30. Last year St Martin was practically destroyed - if such a thing hit the Bahamas you could be re-routed. If the Mid Atlantic got hit with a hurricane right around departure day you could experience some delay or a shortened cruise. Occasionally cruises have to be cancelled. But these occurrences are few and far between.

The key to cruising this time of year is stay informed, get insurance if you can’t self-insure the trip (ie you are willing to lose money) and go with a good attitude and prepare to adapt!

October 1, or October 31? The later in the month, the less chance of storms. They can still happen, but chances diminish as you get closer to end of the "season". Season peak is generally September.....generally.
