the signal only reaches parts of St.Thomas., if you look at the map, it looks like ?Cancun might be on the fringe.

If you have Wifi package I would think you could use the SIrrius XM streaming service even if you are out of their broadcast signal range. I use the streaming service on my phone often, have not tried it on a ship yet though.

According to Carnival's website, streaming audio is not supported. That's not to say it might not work, I've never tried, but they're saying it won't be a good experience even if it does work.

I believe, even streaming, you have to be in their broadcast area.

I never get WiFi on a cruise, but good to know.

Look on the website for coverage map.

Will not work inside. Will work on balcony if you do not have the boat between you and the satellite.

The app streams music, does not receive from satellite.

The wifi internet blocks streaming services and even if it didnt the internet is horrible and would be choppy at best listening to music.

Just load up your phone with music to listen to.

The map indicates that Sirius XM won't work in Anchorage, AK.

I'm sitting here in Anchorage right now for work and streaming on my iPhone on a very poor wifi connection of about 200kbps

They block streaming services on their wifi.

I just got off of the Horizon and used the Sirius app extensively to listen to sports. It was never blocked and with the premium internet on the horizon, it was never choppy either.
