Global Entry at Port Everglades?

Last time we were there there was a separate line that was roped off and empty. Wasn't easy to see and we weren't sure it was open. When we asked they let us through. We then went straight to the officer who was manning the long line next to us. It's possible that sometimes the line might have it's own officer.

Haven't heard of them installing the kiosks at any cruise port yet. Last time in PE we showed our GE cards to official directing foot traffic and were escorted to empty line all the way on left. Quick glance at passports and right out the door. Same thing last time in Miami. Be aware you need to have your GE card with you to get special treatment.

At Port Everglades there is a separate much shorter line for those with Global Entry. Sometimes they do ask to see your cards. There is no Kiosk and you simply get a shorter line to a CBP agent. At the Port of Miami there are a few signs for Global Entry but many apparently miss those signs. But just ask a Port Security person about Global Entry and they will usually take you to the front of the line.

Thanks! The last several disembarkations have been tedious to say the least. Just wanted to make sure it would benefit. We do have TSA precheck, but that's for air travel and not customs/immigration. Every little bit helps make travel less stressful.

Is there a separate area for Global Entry at Port Everglades? Are there the kiosks or are Global Entry guests escorted to the front of the general lines? Thanks for the info.

When I was through in March, the Global Entry line (empty!) was next to the Suites line. At least back then, there was better signage for the Suites line as well as several signs for Mobile passport. Seems to me that it was to the far left-- but take that with a grain of salt...and have a great trip!

I think it also depends on which terminal you use. Our last few times at Ft Lauderdale, we have been at terminal 18, which is what the Oasis Class ships usually uses. There the Global Access line was the same as those using Mobile Passport. In Miami, we were told that there wasn't any special line for Global Access.

This was the situation when we got off Harmony on June 2. You are lumped in with all the Mobile Passport people so it is not a breeze through situation, but still much shorter line than those without Global Entry or Mobile Passport. There are no kiosks so you actually have to have your Global Entry card with you. Last year we walked off the Harmony and were the only ones in the Global Entry line. Mobile Passport is good but it sort of takes away any Global Entry advantage at Port Everglades. As far as I know Port Everglades is still the only cruise port that has a Global Entry line.

Indeed. Port Everglades--OP's port--is the only seaport with Global Entry, or Mobile passport, at this point.

We boarded a ship earlier this month in Vancouver. All the port stops including disembarkation were in the US, so after checking in for the cruise, we had to go through US immigration/customs pre-clearance prior to actually boarding. I didn't see any signs for Global Entry, but we asked a rep who was directing people and she asked if we had our GE cards with us. We showed them to her, and she directed us to an empty line that had no other passengers in it.

The best way to get to the Globabl Entry is to ask one of the people directing everyone. We had to show our cards to prove we had it before we were shown to a very short line. They do not advertise it like they do in airports.

That's great to know! As far as I can find, CBP still hasn't posted a listing of GE availability at any seaports (despite the separate line in fort lauderdale), while Mobile Passport only shows availability @ port everglades. MY GE card got me thru the process quicker @ Cap Liberty in April (and no need to complete the declarations form) but still had to stand in regular--and long--line.

I have the Mobile Passport app on my phone. At Port Everglades I had put in the info the morning of debarkation. I received a "receipt." I had to show this receipt to an official to get in the incredibly short line...versus the REALLY long one everyone else was in. Interestingly when I got up to the passport official I asked whether he'd like our passports or our phone receipts. He said the passports were easier. But bypassing the long lines was terrific! I wish Miami had it as well!

We are Global Entry but as Europeans we do not have a Card. We do however have a print out showing that we are Global Entry qualified. Will this printout enable us to use the Global Entry lines at the Cruise Ports
