In cabin safes

Not for the safe. But the lights turn off and air conditioning goes out unless you leAve a card in the slot by the door when you come in. We like it really cold in our room so we leave a plastic card, not a credit card, but some other card like a room key from hotel, our dvc card, etc in the slot all the time so air is always on. It’s meant to be the place for your room key but we prefer leaving some other card in it.

We do the same, and as noted, any card of the appropriate size will do--a library card, one of those AARP ad cards, etc.
