Port or Starboard on a Canary Island Cruise

Not really. ;)

When we did this cruise, we were on the port side when leaving Portugal. That's all I remember because the views were absolutely beautiful! However, the ship could come into port from the opposite direction. Or you yourself, could be someplace else on the ship when coming in or going out of port. So it wouldn't matter which side your stateroom was on. And the ship may arrive one way, and then turn around to the other side for docking.
