Excursion to Dockyard & Snorkel Park

We will be arriving in Hamilton on the Veendam next week. On Tuesday I was thinking of taking the ferry to the Dockyard to go to snorkel park and other attractions there. Is this a worthwhile excursion?

We docked in the area on my previous cruise to Bermuda on RCL several years back. I am sure its much more interesting now than it was then.

For those more familiar with the area , what should we do while there?

TIA

The Dock yard has some nice shops and bars, and of course the National Museum of Bermuda, but for beaches I agree, don't bother with snorkel park. Much better "real" beaches around.

Snorkel park in my opinion is good for families with little kids or babies because it's so close to where most cruise ships dock. I guess Holland America doesn't but we said RCCL nearly 100% and snorkel park was perfect when our son was 2 years old. He indeed had an accident in his bathing suit and we just had to walk a short distance back to the ship. We enjoyed it but it's not nearly the best Bermuda has to offer.

I went there while on my cruise last week. It was $10.00 to get in and $30.00 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. So not worth it. The beach is about 3 feet deep. Sand covered coral that you have to be careful of stepping on.
