Priority boarding at long beach

I have boarded at Long Beach before, but they were not using check in times then. I have a cruise coming up in October and I have priority boarding, but I also have an assigned check in time. Am I still required to show up at the assigned time?

Thanks.

There is a post on the Carnival main board saying that they are not allowing folks to come and park in the garage at the pier before 11:30AM.

We do not know if this was just on the Saturday that the poster traveled or if this is some new regulation.
