Beach suggestions at Falmouth

Does anyone have a beach suggestion at Falmouth. I contacted RCL and Red Stripe is no longer available. From what I see this port is a big waste of a stop. To do anything you must travel an hour or more to Montego bay or Ochos Rios.

 

Please someone prove me wrong and give me information on a beach.

yes, it is. I deeply regret spending $20 pp on taxi and $15 pp on the beach access at Blue Waters Club. It's just like the Red Stripe beach - a subpar beach, murky water, lots of seaweed, rickety old chaises.

We (a group of 8)are going to MB in a private van.

Doctors cave beach is a good beach

I was told 1/2 hour to 45 minutes

I was in Falmouth in November and had friends that went to Doctor Caves beach. They loved it. They said it was safe and clean. It was $6 to get in (if I remember correctly) and $20 round trip per person in a van. That is what I will try next time I am in Falmouth.

Now that red strip beach has been sold, looking for another option

 

Had thot Blue Waters Club until reading one too many negative reviews.

 

 

Doctor Caves beach sounds promising.

 

 

May look into the resort for day options near Falmouth.

 

 

Have heard of major traffic issues in Falmouth that would rival Nassau's. Can't say if valid as we haven't visited the port.:confused:Normally, have no issues booking on my own but do have some concerns getting stranded in Jamaica.

Is Time and Place still around? That's close by and the beach shack and beach are great.

I heard Time and Place closed. Loved that place and I’m looking for something else to do in Jamaica.

We are going to the Royalton White Sands. It is about 15 minutes from the port.

We too are going to Royalton White Sands booked through Shore Excursioneer- they pick up within the secure port area. Not cheap at about $100 per person, but all inclusive and the closest one to the Falmouth port. I'll be there in 2 weeks and I'll report back.
