Seaside - Upgrading from Aurea Drinks to Premium Drinks

Our agent tried a code I found on the board here and we were offered a beverage package upgrade from Aurea experience to premium package for $320 for the 20 night maiden voyage from Trieste. This is $8pppd.

What all extra will be included and what is the general opinion as to whether or not it is worth it. We will definitely use the mini bar.

Does it include drinks ordered from Room Service?

Thanks in advance for the info.

The following is what's included in the basic package (which is included in Aurea bookings):

ALL-INCLUSIVE CLASSIC DRINK PACKAGE ADULT Drink all you want, where you want, in total freedom and with a light heart! Unlimited spirits (Premium brands are excluded), liqueurs and cordials, wide range of cocktails, a selection of wines by the glass, draught and bottled beer, energy drinks, coolers, canned sodas, fruit juices, Premium mineral water, Premium coffees and coffee-based drinks, hot chocolate delights and takeaway ice cream in a cone or cup. The drinks included in the package can be consumed in all bars, self-service buffet, restaurants, and speciality restaurants. The following items are excluded: Premium spirt brands, tobacco, bottles of wine and champagne, souvenir glasses, fresh fruit drinks, minibar and mineral water provided in the cabin, drinks delivered through room service and food served in the specialty restaurants and theme bars.

The following is what's included in the Deluxe (Premium) package:

ALL-INCLUSIVE DELUXE DRINK PACKAGE A. Drink all you want, where you want, in total freedom and with a light heart! Unlimited consumption of premium spirits, classic and premium cocktails, selection of fine wines by the glass, draught and bottled beer, soft drinks, juices, premium mineral water, coffee-based drinks, chocolate-based specialties, non-alcoholic cocktails, smoothies, milk shakes, energy drinks, drinks and snacks from the minibar, drinks ordered through room service, as well as delights from thematic bar menus, fresh fruit cocktails, freshly squeezed juices, and food from the room service menu. Bottles of wine and champagne are not included in the package; however, when purchased in restaurants and bars, will be available at 30% discount from the menu price. The following items are not included in the package: tobacco, souvenir glasses and food served in the specialty restaurants. The drinks included in package can be consumed in all bars, self-service buffet and restaurants including the specialty restaurants (minibar included).

As you can see, the deluxe package includes room service drinks ordered.

I just noticed that the premium package also mentions food ordered from room service. So if I have a Bella cabin with the premium drink package does that mean room service is available free of charge?

I doubt it, JJ. That's why it states "food from the room service menu" specifically. You'd still have to pay the charge for the service.

It says, "the entire bar list."

It is confusing because some drinks in the bar list have two asterisks which the crew will state means the drink is not included in any plan.

Patron is one of these so called "not included but on the list where everything is supposed to be..." Don Julio is included.

Any additional details on getting them to honor the wording of the package terms?

When you get your shipcard make sure has 536 printed on the right hand side, they all look for it. We had to go to reception and get replacement cards. You can order high end liquor but their selection is not that broad, DH was drinking Zkappo rum (spelling)

Thank you for showing me. I appreciate it.

You're welcome, Jeff. Bear in mind that not all bars will have the full complement of drinks that the list indicates. Some bars specialise; e.g. wine bar, cocktail bar, etc and some only carry a minimum selection.

  • 2 weeks later...
Just wondering, will the bartenders do any drinks outside the menues? As long as they have the right stuff for it

Yes they should, from my experience on Divina. They will also recommend their best liquor if just drinking ie Rum or Vodka. Once you have 536. (And they specifically look your it ) fresh squeezed orange [emoji521] juice, had that every morning.
