hopeless holiday booker Posted November 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2017 I know someone has already asked this but they only got one answer and I can't believe their is only one place to leave your luggage although if I'm proved wrong I'll apologise!!!! So - where can you leave your luggage if you have a late flight after your cruise. Thanks in advance

CruiserBruce Posted November 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2017 What port or city are you asking about. There are 5 commonly covered on this board.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2017 We really need more details. There are several ports on the West Coast Departures Board. :) Keith
Bruin Steve Posted November 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 27, 2017 The OP appears to be on the May 2, 2018 Celebrity Infinity Panama Canal cruise...so, I’m guessing he’s looking at San Diego...
CruiserBruce Posted November 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Shouldn't be so hard to get that info. We shouldn't have to search their past posts to figure out what they are asking about.
hopeless holiday booker Posted November 27, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 27, 2017 OK. Sorry. I knew what I was talking about.;) Forgot the west coast is a big place. I sleep when you're awake which is why I didn't respond. You are correct it is San Diego. I have looked but can't see any option.

The tour will end at the airport and will carry the luggage in the bus hold.
Splinter Posted December 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2017 You can check your luggage in at the airport up to 4 hours prior to your flight. There are no luggage locker or storage areas within either the pier facilities or at the airport, for security reasons. I have not used this fairly new service, but have read about it; would suggest contacting them well before your trip: http://www.sdairportluggage.com/
hopeless holiday booker Posted December 7, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted December 7, 2017 I guess either pay $14 a case or hire a car - I'm still surprised that you can't leave your luggage in lockers at the airport. But there really isn't any other way.

But there really isn't any other way. You should not be surprised. With all of the post 9/11 security measures, they really don't want people to be able to lock unknown parcels into lockers in an airport and then leave. Splinter Posted December 18, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 18, 2017 Some people manage this by taking their luggage to a nearby hotel, and "fibbing" to the bell hop that you will be checking into the hotel later in the day and want to check your luggage until that time. For a small tip ($2-3 per bag), they may store your luggage.
