Got Questions About MSC Meraviglia?

Has anyone recently taken advantage of one of the Laundry packages? Have been thinking about this since they are pretty affordable. Do they launder all clothes items? Feel odd about having someone clean our panties. LOL

there are no laundry or ironing facilities for passengers to use other than the ship's laundry. they do have laundry packages available at a reasonable cost

so true. Was looking at the 40 items, and only worrying about pants and shirts really. :-) Just wanted feedback from anyone who had paid for this service.

It seems like one of those packages won't go very far. 20 items is only a few days' worth of socks and underwear...

Hi, we just booked room 13119 next to the Panoramic elevator. Does the elevator interfere with your balcony view? Can the people in the elevator see onto your balcony as they ride up and down? Thinking to maybe switch to cabin 13183. Any thoughts?

Does the Meraviglia sail through, or close to, the Lofoten Islands on its way to Tronso? Or does it steam past, so far west that we would miss any view of them entirely? The Lofoten Islands present spectacular photo opportunities and is too much of a shame to miss them both there and back. The itinerary maps on the MSC website do not offer a "larger view" option and aren't as specific as say Google maps, hence the need to ask.

Hello

I am just wondering if anyone can advise on what beers are covered under the bar and restaurant unlimited drink package.

From what I can find online it seems that Heineken is the only bottled beer covered, but I am interested in knowing what draught beers are included

Thanks

Hi all,

Cruise Critic will be onboard MSC Meraviglia May 31 to June 4, for a sneak peek of the new ship -- which will kick off with cruises in Europe before coming to Miami 2019.

If there are any questions you have, or specific areas you'd like to see, you can start submitting requests now, and we'll do our best to honor them once we're on the ship. :)

We also will be posting live updates to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages (make sure to 'follow' us!), as well as writing a couple news stories and a live blog on what to expect.

Stay tuned!

Thanks, curiously enough, the privilege list I have in front of me (in Spanish) omits the line "Priority access on Tender boats and during shore disembarkation." May be it slipped the translator's attention, as everything else is there.

............ or maybe it's more up-to-date? With the way MSC are sneakily watering down benefits (see the Black Card thread), one never knows!

See the spanish website. "Desembarque prioritario en puertos que requieren lanchas" is included for Black and Gold members.

Hi

We are currently onboard the Meraviglia and would like to say "don't believe all you read" about this ship. First off the ship is huge and there are passengers from every corner of the world. It is busy but then there are nearly 4000 passengers. The rooms are lovely and everything is spotless. The staff are fantastic and it is great to chat to staff who come from all parts of the world. The food is good. The evening meal is well cooked but small in portion although you can ask for two starters or two mains. The upstairs buffet is always busy but then it was on every cruise we have been on. The pizza is to die for though. The drinks package is great and there is a great range of drinks. The good thing is that if you order something that's not included they tell you. The majority of the passengers are Italians, who are fine. They do charge for things like water, but it comes in litre bottles which is great for taking to your room or on shore. Please don't believe the negative reviews. The ship and cruise is great and we would use MSC again.

I am new to MSC. And looking at Norway 2019. If I book the Aurea package are all drinks included everywhere up to a certain dollar amount?

All the drinks on the bar list except those marked with a red asterisk or 2 red asterisks are included

Aldo included are most special coffees and gelato by the cone or tub

here is link to the med bar list (2016) which will give you good idea what is included

Here's a link to photos of the most comprehensive bar list on Meraviglia from 2017 (from post #70 on). If you have trouble reading them, just right-click on each photo and select "Open image in new tab". You will then be able to zoom in:

Not all the bars will carry the full complement as some are smaller with less stock and some specialise, such as the Champagne bar.
