We will be on Kauai on Prince Kuhio Day. How is it celebrated?

It is a Hawaii State holiday, with the usual government, school, etc. closures that go along with that. Do not worry that everything will be closed though - at least it hasn't been in our experience. Each island may have celebrations of their own, and you will have to check to see what interests you, but do some research and have a day more special and interesting than usual.
