Legend offerings at Victoria

We aren't interested in getting off Carnival Legend at Victoria, but in the past when I chose not to debark at a port, I noticed nothing was really open to enjoy on the ship. Even the shops were closed when the ship was in port. The Legend docks at Victoria from 7p to 11p. Does anyone know if the ship offerings close during that time, or what stays open (bars, food, shopping, casino, Serenity, etc.)?

Also, does anyone know if the Victoria day is considered a Sea Day with Sea Day Brunch since the ship doesn't get in to Victoria until the evening?

Thanks so much.

Carnival board might be a better bet re: brunch (instead of just Alaska cruisers, you'll have the entire range of 'anyone who ever had a late arrival in port anywhere' to get replies from).

Casino is a definite no in Canadian waters, and unless Carnival do things differently than Princess & NCL who I have been ported in Victoria with they will cut back on how many bars are open due to fewer folks onboard than while at sea (we've always been lied to and told that it's the fault of unspecified 'Canadian authorities' who only allow them to open one bar which is utter bullsh*t, as long as tax is paid they could care less if you open 'em all, it's a staffing choice). Shopping is also likely to be closed - duty free issues as tax is payable when in port, so rather than set up the checkouts IME cruislines just shut them - little demand due to weak Canadian dollar ashore and shops open late whenever cruise ships are in town, even these silly-short evening stops.

Anything Carnival-specific though I'm just guessing, so take with pinch of salt!
