Port Everglades Car Rental

DW and I will need to rent a car when we return to Port Everglades from our cruise next month. We haven't done this before so any advice you could give us as to the proper procedures would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.

We rent a car every year from Budget. Pick up at Ft Lauderdale airport and drop off at 1515 SE 17th street causeway. We then walk to the cruise port - about a 10 minute walk to the cruise port. The Budget drop off provides a shuttle service to the cruise port also. It's really handy. Here is the phone number if you would like to call them for more info 954-761-7231

Alamo has an office adjacent to the port as well.

These agencies are near the port and have shuttles to/from the cruise terminals:

Hertz from Crown Plaza Hotel

Avis from Pier 66

Budget on 17th in shopping center next to Renaissance Hotel

Sixt further up 17th.

Thrifty/Dollar just out western port exit.

You can easily use Budget on 17th Street they have a comp shuttle from Port Everglades and then drop off at FLL or your choice of return locations...Costco has great pricing.

Another option is Thrifty/Dollar they also have a comp shuttle to their location which is the closest to PE which is just outside the port gate.

Usually we take a cab back to our hotel then fly home the next day but this years' a little different. So, many thanks to you all for your kind suggestions. Much appreciated.
