Almond/Coconut Milk

Hi,

My son is 2 and has a dairy allergy. Is there almond or coconut milk available at most places? Hoping I can keep some in the fridge in our room too. Can you bring small kids sized packs of them on the ship? What about Distilled Water? Do they have it to purchase on board?

Good question. I drink Almond milk because it has far fewer calories. With lactose intolerance becoming a major issue for many, it would behoove the hospitality industry to carry natural alternatives.

You can't carry any liquids on without permission from special needs so I would contact them first. Can tell you if it's available and if it's not you can make your case for carrying it on.

I've had good luck going to the buffet on the Jade and the Getaway and just asking a cafeteria worker for some soy milk. I've also just written it in on the free continental breakfast form.

Yes, they have almond milk. Ask for it in the buffet. If the worker gives you a blank stare, tell him to ask a supervisor. I've also asked for it in other venues and they brought it to me.

This was on the Gem and Breakaway.

this is good to know. i dont have an allergy but i much prefer almond milk over cows milk for the health benefits.

Yes, I have had almond or soy mile at MDR on various NCL ships as I am lactose intolerant too. You can also ask for your meals to be made without dairy.

Contact accessdesk@ncl.com or 1-866-584-9756 (90 days prior to sailing) and let them know about your (his) dietary restrictions. I’ve been reading that they treat dietary restrictions very seriously.
