The BEST tour EVER!!!

We were on Oasis last week and took the blue hole with river tubing excursion. Let me tell you that Shakira and Allen were AMAZING!!!!

The lunch was fantastic and Allen cracked us up the whole time. If your looking for something to do make sure to take this tour. It was through chukka tours!

How cold was the water???    Could you jump In and swim at Blue Hole?

We did the Blue Hole last Fall.  The water was on the chilly side, but once you were wet, it wasn't too bad.  

I don't know if you can hang out and swim.  Probably, if it isn't too crowded.  When we were there, they were filming for the Netflix movie, Like Father, so between the production crew and all of the cruise passengers, the parking lot was packed and they were pushing people through.  

We went river tubing afterward, which was super fun as well.  

I am not seeing a combo Blue hole and tubing on RCI website. Is it a private tour?

Yes - you have to book it as a private tour.  We used Ricardo Riley with libertytoursjamaica.com and it was awesome.  They do such a great job making your day perfect.

We did the Blue Hole/river tubing combo through Marvyn's Tours. The only thing to be aware of when doing this...there's a Marvyn's driver that picks you up outside the port gates (they can't go inside) and takes you to Blue Hole and hands you off to a tour guide that takes you through the falls and jumps.

Blue Hole (Island Gully) - We had Romaine Dougie who was totally awesome! He showed us some local plants, crumpled the leaves for us to smell and told us what they were used for. He also took photos for us at key spots, flowers, jumps, etc. We had a party of 4 and it took a little over an hour, but we were there before the crowds started to show up. I highly recommend Romaine!!

Driver then takes you to the River tubing stop and again hands you over to another guide. Float down the river through some small rapids and some peaceful stretches. There was a riverside stop where you could take a break, do a little shopping for trinkets or drinks. If you don't have money with you at the time, you can pay at the end. 

This was one of our favorite excursions....just need to plan on how much in tips you may need. We had initially only planned for tipping one tour guide, so this took a hit on our overall budget. 

Hi NoleFam,  This will be our first cruise ever and love the sound of this excursion.  I appreciate your input and am considering using Marvyn.  What concerns me is when you say they pick you up outside the port gates.  Also, did you pay in advance or is that just not a good Idea?  Thanks again.

Hi there I can tell you it was the blue hole excursion river tubing it was so worth it.  Let me see if I can find what excursion it was
