Leaving 11th of march on ncl breakaway. We have not cruised from manhattan port and are lookinh for good options to stay. We want to come in friday night the 9th, see NYC sat during the day then off to pier sunday am. Suggestions for a hotel for 2 adults and 2 kids for two nights? Parking better at pier or find hotel in NJ to leave car? Any help appreciated

Could you provide more details? Hotel budget? Bed size and configuration required with 2 kids? Where are you driving in from and what time do you expect to arrive? What are your sightseeing plans for your day in NYC?

Parking at the pier is $40/day. Two nights extra parking in NYC would be $50+/day. That's $380+ for NYC parking alone. There are less expensive options in NJ.

We are coming from niagara falls canada and are leaving after work on friday the 9th of March, which will put us near new york city at near 1 o'clock in the morning. We are hoping to do a little sight seeing and then we leave the manhattan cruise terminal on Sunday the 11th. We were wondering about staying in new jersey. Do we stay near the lincoln tunnel? We would need a hotel with two double beds. Under 200 bucks would be great. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor would come in within your $200 budget even with taxes and $25/day parking fee for March 9-11. It is right at the Lincoln Tunnel with bus service directly to Port Authority Bus Terminal.

That's a good choice. A ferry to Manhattan is just steps from the front door of the hotel. You could also park at Port Imperial ferry terminal just a couple miles up the road from the Sheraton. Parking is less expensive ($15/day I think) and the Sheraton Hotel shuttle will ride you up/back.
