GrandmaHofmann Posted February 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2018 I would like to go to the Awa Odori Kaiken museum but do not want to pay the prices on the ship or have as little time there. Can we do it on our own or is it too far?
someotherguy Posted February 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2018 (edited) The kaikan is a 10-minute walk from Tokushima station. There's a map here: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e7802.html I've visited Tokushima, but by land, so I don't know where your ship will dock. You can work out train times and costs with Hyperdia: http://www.hyperdia.com/ I went there to see the Naruto Whirlpools: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e7852.html . Look out for them if your ship goes nearby. Ps. It turns out there's a wealth of information on Japan-Guide's Q&A pages: https://www.japan-guide.com/forum/quereadisplay.html?0+138326 Edited February 16, 2018 by someotherguy Added ps
