bazz737 Posted February 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Hi there, Wife and I are off on our 1st cruise Monday around NZ on the Ovation and to say the wife is a tad excited is an understatement. She desperately wanted to go to Wonderland dining experience, so I thought to book early on line. Now when I booked I was charged $87 each and used the on board credit. When I looked today it can be booked for $61. Hence the confusion...why the price drop ? can we asked to be refunded the difference ? I this normal ? Similar with the drinks package, friends payed $5 a day less than us and now it's gone up even futher. Not having a whinge, just don't fully understand the world of cruising yet  Thx in advance ;) G
Missusdubbya Posted February 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2018 You can cancel and rebook at the lower price and RC will refund your credit card/OBC. You need to do so before your MyCruises account gets shut (I think 3 days before the cruise). Enjoy your cruise! The_Big_M Posted February 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Price change is likely due to a sale. They run them occasionally for excursions and restaurants. Drinks packages have sales, but the also do adjust pricing at times.
GUT2407 Posted February 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Cancel and rebook Either a sale or not much demand.
Rare MicCanberra Posted February 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Just be aware that it could also be currency fluctuations between the USD and the AUD.
LMW1330 Posted March 10, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Not sure what cruise line you’re sailing but I know Carnival and it’s affiliates will refund the difference in onboard credit. This happened to us Several times and we called at each price drop and was given onboard credit. We ended up with $200 dollars and went to the Steakhouse several times Sent from my iPhone using Forums
LMW1330 Posted March 10, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Pretty sure RCL will do this too, but you’ll need to call Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare MicCanberra Posted March 11, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Depends on how you booked as well.
