Hi. I booked a cruise and paid the deposit with a credit card before I heard about the AARP gift cards. Has anyone called Carnival to refund the credit card and pay the deposit with a gift card instead? Can this be done online? Thank you for your help :)

But I’m using a TA. Is it possible to be refunded and then pay the deposit with gcs if using a TA?

As firemanbobswife said there is no reason it can't be done. But you will have to speak with your TA rather than call Carnival. If you are booked through a TA Carnival can't do anything with your booking.

Yes. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to do it.

There is a scenario where it can't be done because I wanted to do it on my two upcoming Horizon cruises and it would not work. I had placed my initial deposits using an AMEX card that I had for over 30 years and within the past year I had gotten rid of it. My TA could not refund me the deposit money because the credit card that I had used was no longer valid. It ended up costing me 100 in savings because of the 1000 in deposits for the two cruises. It just gives me more money set aside for one of the LNG ships in a few years. :)
