Actually the only way is taxi as you can't take your clubs on the bus. We played there twice, friendly staff, fairly challenging & the second time it was very busy! An early tee time might be the way to go.

You could take a bus if you rent clubs.

Turns out there is a tournament at Port Royal the day we are in port and the course is closed. Are there any other courses that folks have played that you would recommend?

Thanks for your help!

I have not played it but the course at Fairmont Princess is well regarded. Also it would be the next closest golf course to the Dockyard.

It's a 2700 yard par three course, not a full championship-caliber course.

It has great water views though. What course would you recommend as an alternative? Mid-Ocean or Tuckers Point? They are difficult courses and located on the other end of the island. Also may not be easy to get in to play at either.

Belmont Hills isn't much further than the Southampton Princess.

Mid Ocean is very difficult to get on. Several private clubs in the US have reciprocal arrangement with them which allow access. If you have a room at Rosewood they can arrange a tee time at peak times. The public can call ahead on select days mid week for tee times later in the day at their discretion, usually around $250 a round per person. Tee time for a non member won’t give you access to their facilities beyond golf.
