Boarding start times

Trying to plan our flights into Miami/FLL for an upcoming MSC cruise. Noticed they leave Port of Miami really late compares to other cruise lines. Their departure time is 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm for Divina.

What time does MSC start their boarding process? Just don't want to arrive at the port terminal @ noon and have to wait around for 4/5 hours.

It's true the ship does not leave the port until 7 pm. But the boarding usually begins around 11 am. That time can sometimes be delayed if the passengers from the previous cruise or the ship are held up for issues with customs .

Your cruise docs will have a boarding time listed , but they do not hold you to that time . If I am remembering correctly everyone must be on board by 5:30 pm. The port terminal is a little hectic from 10:30am. til about noon . I would suggest arriving around 12:30 . Be sure to pack swimsuits in your carry on bag so you can use the pools . Your luggage will not be in your cabin until after 2 or 3 pm.
