Winter Cruise - Med

Morning all you wonderful knowledgeable cruisers, please can you assist me. We would like to do a Med cruise in the middle of December (winter time) leaving from Marseilles, France and the ports are Barcelona, Valencia, Mallorca, Valletta, Messina, Rome, Livorno, Genoa then back to Marseilles.

My question is besides it being winter how rough do you think the sea will be. I do have a tendency to get sea sick, but love cruising. We will be travelling from South Africa and Unfortunately cant do it any other time. What are your suggestions, we open to any. Travelling to the warmer parts of the world is to far and I really do not want to be flying for 33 hrs...

So if anyone has attempted these winter cruises please be so kind as to give me some feedback to what we can expect or if we should dump the idea and go elsewhere.

You may encounter some rough seas.

It will be on the cooler side and likely some rain.

Best to book a room mid ship and on a lower deck and take one or more items to prevent sea sickness.

Honestly I would go in September or October or April or May. Nice weather and not the heat or humidity of the summer months and less tourists.

Unfortunately that is one of the worst timed to go weather wise, but on the plus side you will get to see all the Christmas decorations.
