Hi there,

I know that everyones costs go up from year to year, so price increases from one year to the next is expected, but is anyone surprised by the Viking Riverboat increases for 2018?

It seems that the cheapest fare has increased some $350 to $400 pp from 2017 to 2018.

Cost increases of between 10 and 15%. Doesn't that seem like a lot?

I know about the new longboats coming in 2019, but they shouldn't try to recoup all of its costs in one year!

If they have a promo for air $495 or some such figure, the prices usually increase accordingly. Nothing in this world is free or included at "no charge" - just marketing strategy.
