To Link, or Not To Link? (Reservations)

We are traveling in January on the Equinox with another couple who we are friends with.

We booked the cruise quite a while before they did and not through the same agent.

Is there any reason (or is it even possible) to link resevations?

Upsides? Downsides?

I can't see any downside. Since you are both AQ however, there is really no need to since you can go to Blu at the time of your/their choosing and request a table for 4. If you were traditional dining, linking the reservation would assure you that you would be seating together. The fact that you are booked through different TAs may present some difficulties linking you. If neither TA can do it, I'd call Celebrity One Touch and ask for help. The current situation with the website and TA reservations will probably make it impossible to do yourself.

Your TA can definitely do it, as well as Celebrity. I agree since in Aqua probably no need to link them. We travel with 10 other people and we have our reservations linked so we can get a large table for 12. Works like a charm, but you still have to go see the head maitr'd on boarding to make sure they have it set up correctly. There's been a time or two they've had to run to cabins and switch out dining cards to fix the problem.
