Andee Posted October 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Our ship docks in San Diego Oct 31, but the cruise doesn't end until the next day. That suggests to me that we will have no problems disembarking early enough to make an 11:30 flight, as we won't have to worry about arriving late. Is a cab, Uber, or something else the best way to get to the airport? What can I expect to pay? Thanks. CruiserBruce Posted October 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Cab or Uber. The distance is about 2 miles. Last time we did it, the cab was right at $10, before tip.

jamesr3939 Posted October 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Last couple of times I used a cab from the airport to Gas Lamp hotel it was $20 including tip. Granted Gas Lamp is a little further than the port, but not much. I would take a cab as their will be plenty right at the pier. I am not sure if Uber comes onto the pier as I have never used them. DaveOKC Posted October 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Just did pier to airport (SW airlines) on Thursday and it was $12 plus tip. If you want to save about $2, walk across the street and catch a taxi from the Wyndam (left turns out of the pier area are not allowed, so the taxis have to take an extra long route).
