Craft Beer on Celebrity?

My husband and I will be sailing on Reflection in December. It will be his first time sailing with X, my third. I've never paid much attention to the beers on board, but he does enjoy craft beers. I don't expect them to have obscure, small batch types, but will he be able to get an IPA anywhere on board?

Yup! On our most recent Celebrity cruise from Vancouver they offered a variety of Sam Adams brews (I'm not a fan of the Rebel IPA) as well as several varieties from Alaskan brewing.

I've noticed Dogfish Head at several bars including the pool bar! Also I believe Cellar Masters will have a small craft beer list as well so be sure to check them out when they're open.

They have bottled IPAs on board but dont expect fresh hops. I prefer IPAs within the 60-day range or less of bottling date and I usually check the dates.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA is included in the Premium package. That was all I needed to hear :D

Just keep in mind that (sadly) they often run out of different types of beers. But S class ships generally have a decent variety. M class, not so much.

Cellar Master and Passport bar will likely be the best places to find the craft beers. Besides Dogfish 90, they should carry Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin Ale (not truly an IPA, but 7.5% ABV, 65 IBU and pretty darn tasty), Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and perhaps Anchor Liberty Ale. All very drinkable :-) They probably will also have Goose Island (not great, IMHO).

The Passport Bar also has a decent range of Belgium and German beers too. Ideally your hubby will have the premium drinks package because the prices are outrageous compared to what we're used to here in Europe, but I'm sure he'll find that he enjoys many of them in addition to the US beers mentioned above.
