did you get to choose your disembark time if you dont get self?

id have to think most people want off early . how do you choose the time? ive seen on other lines you get tags near guest services etc.

You don't get to choose your debark time, it is random.

If you self debark you have a window of time.

hmm cant choose. when do you find out your time?

so if i get a 930 ticket or whatever, can i just decide to do self then? i def dont want to leave that late since i have to be back home a certain time.

No. If you want to self debark you need to let them know now ahead of time. The slots fill up quickly, they go in 15 minute increments begining around 7:00 a.m.

I loved your review and it has me really excited about our upcoming Regal cruise on 11/5. This will be our second Princess cruise and I can't wait to step aboard the Regal. I'm so glad you had a wonderful cruise. :)

Thank you very much Lakemurraykid,

You will really love Regal, great itinerary and potential for some great leaf peeping too.

Have a great time.

I'd advise checking with guest services. If you are going to self debark you will need to keep everything with you (and be able to transport it all yourself), otherwise the luggage will be put out the night before so you won't be able to change your mind in the morning.

I'm not sure about Brooklyn, but when we did self disembarking in Miami there were escalators and it was a little tricky getting myself and both cases on. I managed without falling, but there is no assistance.

i'm assuming its decided the day before when you disembark . so if at 6pm they tell me its 930 am disembark, i wanted to instead do a walk off so was wondering how to effect that . i would never change my mind over night. . or if the self disembark is generally easy id just do that to begin with . but the NCL situation was so horrible it scares me to try it with princess.

there will always be elevators somewhere due to handicap access . in manhattan i was with someone that needed elevator and we did walkoff. i can def do escalators though.

Luckyinpa,

We did not self-disembark.

Our disembark time was 9:30 am, we were called about 9:40 am. Our meeting spot was the Casino.

Club Class apparently does not feature priority disembark or a nicer lounge, which is a shame.

We spent our time waiting in Churchills, which was empty. The Debark communication could have been better. But, in the end we only left the ship 10 minutes late.

NOTE

Do yourself a favor and get a luggage porters to grab your cases. I tip then $10 a case and they take you to the front of the immigration Line which is a big deal.

You will out of the port and in the car-pick-up line in minutes. Worth every penny.

Have a great cruise.

Jonathan

Disembarking the Regal Princess in Brooklyn was super fast last Saturday. We had independent arrangements (we didn't do self-assist), and we were through customs/immigration and outside the terminal waiting for our ride 15 minutes after our tag was called![emoji16] I was trying to text my sister, and the line was moving so fast I couldn't do it!

Jonathon, nice final recap of your live review. Really enjoyed following along. You did a wonderful job and we appreciated you making time during your cruise to entertain us. Makes us more anxious to board the Regal on Oct. 26. Best of cruising to you in the future.

Just want to say hi to Barb (BarbinMich) and her husband since she posted on this thread. Been a few years since we cruised together.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Hi to you both, as well! Too bad we haven't run into each other since that cruise. Unfortunately, we may not be cruising again as Al's been diagnosed with Parkinson's this week. But we have many, many fond cruise memories and have been to most places in the Caribbean, Europe, and Canada, either on a cruise or a land tour or by car (Canada). Have a wonderful time on the Regal! That's the only one of the large Princess ships we haven't been on, but have been on the Royal twice.

The burgers and dogs at Neptune Grill on deck 16 are delicious and complementary.

Jonathan

We just disembarked the Regal this morning.

What a great itinerary with perfect weather to boot.

Hi Need2cruisesoon,

Gorgeous pictures, love Bar Harbor. Was thinking about you Oct 14 cruisers last week. Looks like you had a great time.

How did you like Regal?

The Regal was a comfortable ship in many aspects.

We enjoyed our Obstructed Emerald deck cabin forward, however was a good walk to get to the MDR and other venues aft.

Food was average but we tried to eat many lunches on shore.

We particularly enjoyed the Princess comedian Prinz who did 2 shows.

Most of the Princess Live shows were unwatchable due to the 2 resident hosts.

Other than that it was excellent.

Jonathan:

Will be doing a NE/Canada cruise on Royal in CC next October. Loved your posts! Thanks for taking the time. Two questions I have though. In what I found, so far, on Princess site re: CC, they say we get to quote:

PRIORITY EMBARK & DEBARK

Skip the lines with preferred check-in upon arrival and our exclusive disembarkation lounge during departure.

I am surprised you did not get that. Also, I cannot find in print anywhere that states we get priority tender usage. Can you show me where it says that? That would be a great perk for going CC too. Thanks again for a wonderful post.
