Pan Pacific Seattle

It's out of the downtown core, on the way to Amazonia at South Lake Union. There's a streetcar stop in front, and a branch of Whole Foods downstairs in case you want to stock some snacks or wine for the cruise. You'll need a cab/towncar or Uber from the airport as it's too far from any light rail station to walk. Celebrity uses Pier 91 so you'll need the same to go to the pier.

It’s comparatively near - no further really than any other downtown/SLU property. There aren’t any hotels within a few blocks of Pier 91 - and there won’t be $5 in difference in cab between any of the options.

Pan Pacific is great. Muted contemporary decor, exceptional service, nice views, many rooms with soaking tubs. A very gracious independent property with a flat walk or public transit acces to most all touristy things in the downtown core (use the Whole Foods street access for downtown and SLU - there are elevators and (did they get the escalators fixed, or pull them out? Can’t recall). Anyway, if you like excellent independent high rise hotels this is a great choice.

If you like more water view, consider the Edgewater. If you like high levels of service, albeit corporate, consider the Four Seasons (50% water views) or Fairmont Olympic, and if you really like small boutique hotels, consider Inn At The Market, which has a similar level of service as the Pan Pacific on a much smaller scale, right in Pike Place Market with some excellent views.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Seattle in June. It is a very nice property. It is approximately a half mile walk to the Space Needle, and a little over a mile walk to Pike Place Market.

There is a shuttle service (for fee) to the pier.
