Norwegian Escape secrets?

Not a secret, but given the low numbers of users, I'd say the 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar on the Waterfront. The bar has an open air ocean views plus very friendly bar staff. Great location. (Why are people crammed in the interior bars?)

Buy a thermal spa pass. Cost is $199 (pre-cruise) or $219 (after you board) for a seven day pass. Pass cannot be bought daily. Total relaxation! This is a must when I cruise on the Escape. Check out the Escape Thermal Spa on YouTube. If you're not sure, wait until you board and go to the spa and request a tour to help you decide. I think they only sell around 150 passes. Well worth the extra $.

Don't skip Pincho or Food Republic. Both AMAZING. Use one of your meal plan meals at Pincho--even with the $7 upcharge, it's a much better value, as you can order as much as you want and try everything. Food Republic is well worth the extra money--much cheaper than its sister restaurants in Miami but same great food.

Make sure to walk ALL the way around the Waterfront, around the aft of the ship. Amazing views and so close to the water! Nighttime is the best!

Pincho Tapas was almost always empty so my husband assumed the food was bad, but I talked husband into getting lunch there one day and all of the food was amazing. We are cruising again in October and plan on eating there at least 3 times.

First night of the cruise all the liquor in the duty free store is 10% off. They only have that promotion the first night and all the good stuff sells out fast so don't wait to buy if that's your thing ;)

Coffee bar on deck 6 tucked away in the corner of the atrium sells all Starbucks coffees. Great for a morning latte or afternoon Frappuccino and prices are about the same as a land Starbucks. Also, they have real straws here! Pretty much the only place on the ship you will find a real straw. If you're a Lavazza kind of person head to deck 7.

Definitely go to your Cruise Critic meet and greet and sign the attendance sheet. The hotel director Deepak is the best ever and will personally say hello to everyone at the meet and greet and then send all sorts of goodies to your room all week long. Escape's meet and greets are in the District Brewhouse and they are AWESOME. The officers/staff walk around and introduce themselves to you and they serve you lots of beer and yummy foods. Very upbeat and fun.

It really is the best kept "secret". For a nice lunch, 4 - 5 items to share, very cheap and sangria on the drink package. Just perfect.

I think the fact that they dont' put anything in the glass cases, it just looks almost closed. But we gave it a shot anyways and wish we had of done that sooner!

There's a selfie kiosk in the Brew Pub. I think it will post direct to Facebook if you want. I believe there's another one near the Casino. I'll add my agreement that Pinchos is not to be missed. Tapas plates for just a few bucks each so we didn't use our Specialty Dining there, just added it to our bill. We stuffed ourselves for around $30.00.

Early risers can get coffee/tea on the waterfront at 5:00 somewhere and whatever is across the ship from that.

The best rooms on the ship are the mini suites with large balconies on deck 8. The balconies are as large as the room, and Brew Pub is in your backyard.

Spice H2O: everyone talks about it being loud, but during the day, it is extremely quiet (almost too quiet) and it is a great place to take a nap on a lounger in the sun.

Don't try to sit by the pool (because you can't) go up, up up. You will definitely be able to find all the loungers you want on the way upper decks. You can scoot down to the grotto in Spice H2O if you need to cool off...cause the pool looks like people stew.

On the day you board: head up to the Mojito bar, have a cocktail or two, and then head to Savor or Taste for a leisurely lunch. Avoid the craziness in the buffet.

Sign up for the Escape Room: it is surprisingly fun. And free. And do dinner at least one night in the Supper Club: it is dinner and a show and most of the shows are free. You can make reservations for both your first day at the box office, outside the theater.

Save room for made to order crepes in the buffet for dessert, even if you ate dessert elsewhere.

The MDRs: Manhattan, Savor and Taste almost always have seating available on demand. Don't make reservations for every single night, enjoy freestyle cruising, and mosey down to the dining rooms when you are ready and see who can get you in. Savor and Taste are twin dining rooms on either side of the ship and they have the same menu as the Manhattan where you can enjoy dinner and listen to live music.

If there is no seating on the waterfront, but you want a quiet place to sit on a sofa and read a book...check out the brew pub during the day...great views, comfy seats.

Have fun!

Escape Room is called something like Escape the Big Top, but it works like any of the escape room chains on land. Teams of people race to complete a set of tasks/riddles, that can be used to come up with a code that open a box and reveal a puzzle. They provide clues as you go so if you are stuck, you can maybe get some help. But the clues are pretty cryptic. It is for all ages, they do it in the supper club 2 x a cruise, and if you forget to make reservations, show up and try to get in on standby.

If you are going to the Garden Café for breakfast or lunch, do not stop at the first station. Instead, walk all the way back and avoid the crowds. It is quieter, you can always find a seat and you get a great view of the ship's wake.

When the ship leaves the port of NY, head to deck 8 aft. You will have a prime view of the Freedom tower and a short walk around the back of the ship will give you a great viewing of the Statue of Liberty.

The crepes in the buffet at night! They are tucked away from all the food and are amazing. My daughters are only crepes on night for dinner, it’s vacation!

The ropes course is very fun, my daughter was able to time it right and did it back to back times because there was no wait. We waited until the last day and waited in line for almost 2 hours- do it early!

Make a trip to Howel at the Moon, the piano bar, was so fun! Bring some fives to wrap the song requests in. They did a Taylor Swift montage for my daughter that was hysterical.

Have fun! We did Escape last year the week before Christmas, this year we are doing the Bliss for the New Year!

We haven’t cruised yet either, so thanks for the tips! The one change is the Supper Club. Since you were on they added Choir of Man, so I don’t think they have any free shows anymore. But we booked that one since it’s getting great reviews.

How/when do you sign up for the escape room? That would be awesome :)

The answer was already mentioned. It at the box office. You can sign up for it on the first day once you board the cruise ship. There would some people going straight for a Vibe pass, some going straight to the box office to reserve for shows and some to reserve for their dinners. Some will also head right to the spa for their tour and to get a raffle ticket hoping to win. Do whatever that is priority for you.

After The Choir of Men show is over in the Manhattan Dining Room do they go back to serving a regular dinner menu for the rest of the night?

MARAPRINCE

The Choir of Man is in the Supper Club
