How did you get from River Rock Casino to airport?

Recommended Posts

I would be surprised if there are not cabs waiting in front; if not, have the staff call a cab for you. We do not have Uber or any other legal ride-sharing program in Vancouver.

Alternatively you can use the Sky Train system, and I have given you a link which shows how to do this. This involves some walking and hauling your own luggage, so a cab would be more straightforward and less stressful (in my opinion).

River Rock has a hotel as well as the casino on-site, so I agree with Karen that cabs will often be hanging around. SkyTrain is very easy to use too - and today I learned that the Victoria Transit website also has Vancouver transit info thanks to the above link, so that's interesting! Personally I tend to just use Google Maps as they also have the full transit schedules, plus better accuracy for walking routes & times as well as modes for bikes & cars that are not available on local transit trip planners.

From River Rock TO the airport though is such a cheap cab ride that 4 people would probably save money compared to transit - outbound from the airport, with the fixed zone fares, RR now costs twice as much as the meter used to but those rates only apply when boarding that cab at YVR. Unless you're traveling solo/a couple, I'd take a cab myself from here to YVR.

Depending which Days Inn, you will either be: (airport) potentially walkable from River Rock (or a very, very short cab ride); (Kingsway) definitely want a cab; (downtown) potentially be able to use SkyTrain or may prefer a cab as there's about 600yards to walk from nearest SkyTrain station to that one.

Yeah, I was already pushing late for an appointment so I used Google maps first and then quickly googled BC Transit and this is what came up. Anyway, it gives OP an idea.

I find many visitors assume we have ride-sharing here and they will just use that, so good thing s/he asked. :)

Canada Line is 3 stops from River Rock but depends on the time and day of the week as to cost, after 6:30 PM and weekends and holidays it is less, Seniors are less.

There is No $5 Transit Surcharge---leaving River Rock to YVR.

[if it is Days Inn by YVR? there is a shuttle outside of YVR Arrivals to take you the hotel.

$20 CDN total flat rate by cab in Richmond area but only FROM YVR.]
