Who is your favorite cruise director past or present?

Mine is Dr E, my teen daughter i sail with Dell in love with The Flying Scottsman our July cruise.

It was Wee Jimmy but now it is Mikey on the Sunshine he is great. Hopefully he will still be on the Sunshine in April 2019.

We had Mikey on the Breeze back in September of 2016. He wasn’t an actual cruise director then, just filling in and he was AWESOME! Our kids just loved him too. Was very happy to see when he got the promotion. Can’t wait to run into him again one day!!!!

It has been two years since my last cruise, and I have done 8 Carnival cruises since 2000. I am not normally affected by who the cruise director is. I have been on some wonderful cruises, yet do not remember who the cruise director was. Of the 8 cruises on Carnival, the ones that stand out, are ; Triumph 2004, ( John Heald), and I believe his assistant at the time was Wee Jimmy, and they were both unforgettable LOL!

However the CD who impressed me most was Butch, on Liberty (Oct, 2009), he was amazing in so many ways, I cant begin to say. So Butch Beganovich, and so sorry to spell his surname wrong, but it is best I can come up with after 9 years LOL. That cruise on Liberty was also one of the best cruises I have ever had, regardless of cruise line.

I have been on Carnival cruises since 2009, and have had some other good CDs, but at the moment don't remember their names...One was a lady who wore quite flamboyant dresses and shoes, bows etc...She was CD on Freedom cruise in 2014. I liked her, and don't know why I cant remember her name now.

Cds however do not affect my cruise. I just notice the ones who go above and beyond.

In 28 cruises I couldn't tell you who was Cruise Director on any of them...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I can not recall any of the CD's names? How do you people remember? Most of the time I don't even know there is a CD, maybe that's the sign of a good one????

Marcello (Alvarez?) Marshmallow and Haley Mack. Unfortunately, I don't think Haley is with the fleet any more.

Think I am alone on this one but I'm going with Ryan Rose. Our last cruise was supposed to have Dr E but he was on vacation (or so we were told) and Ryan Rose filled in.

My friend Diamond Dave would say his second favorite cruise director is John Heald with all others tied for first.

Me, personally, my favorite cruise director is Dan Falconer.

Good to see shout outs for Mikey. Had him as assistant on the Breeze in 2016 before he was promoted. Just got off the Sunshine which I think is where Mikey typically is now, but had Chris (from Australia) filling in on only his third cruise as CD. He was great as well.
