we are docking at Pier 35 and I believe we are only ship that day in our terminal. Are we within reasonable walking distance of North Beach area - we are going to Beach Blanket Babylon and I didn't know if we could walk or needed to Uber.

So you're on the Crystal Symphony? That's at Pier 35 because the Grand Princess (which homeports in SF) will be at Pier 27 on Sunday, before you leave.

To answer your question, walkability in that area depends a lot on exactly where you're going, because of all the hills. But you should be able to go around Telegraph hill and stay rather flat, so figure about 20 minutes walking.

20-30 minutes sounds about right. Nine blocks up Grant and three blocks right on Green.

Or better, take a right on Filbert a couple of blocks early for two blocks to Stockton on the edge of the heart of North Beach, Washington Square Park. Then along the park and another block to a three way corner with Green and North Beach's main drag, Columbus Street. Club Fugazi is a half block further on the other side of Columbus, "Beach Blanket Babylon Blvd" (AKA Green St).

It is a healthy walk and may be uncomfortable going home in the dark. Tons of SF's best restaurants in the immediate area.

Immediate area of the cruise ship dock? TIA
