RCI Freedom Balcony XB with 3rd adult in room?

We are sailing on RCI's Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan on June 23rd for their Southern Caribbean route. Been on a number of cruises but always picked out our cabin's previously and our last cruise was the equivalent of the Grand Suite (GS) which worked well for us with our 12yo son as he slept on the full sized sofa bed pullout.

The GS was available at the time of booking but it was an extra $2K total cabin price so instead we opted for a Balcony Guaranteed room (XB) after watching a few of the room reviews. However, all those reviews had sofa's for the 3rd person and now we are seeing that some of the Balcony Cabins on Freedom has pullman beds instead of sofa beds so we now realize that we could end up with one of those instead. There are still a number of GS available and I have been known to go for an upgrade should RCI call if we can get it at a discount. Are we worrying too much about the pullman for our, now 15 year old, son
