2 Night cruise from Southampton

Hello! Hoping I am posting this in the correct place.... hubby is having a special birthday at the end of this year, and I am looking at booking a 2 night Royal Caribbean cruise for next year from Southampton as a surprise! The cruise itself actually leaves on our 21st wedding anniversary, (our first ever cruise was on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas for our honeymoon!) so it all ties in very nicely!!! My question is, has anyone cruised from Southampton to Le Havre in October??? I'm just slightly concerned about the weather and if it's rough at all? Obviously you can't predict the weather, but just in general is that a bad time to go from Southampton? Many thanks:).

I've sailed out of S'ton in Oct, and can't think that the Channel was any worse than any other time...in fact, our windiest weather was in the Med that time.

I have done a couple of shorties late/early in the year and can't say that the channel has been any rougher then than at other times.

We have been out of Southampton a few times in September / October as we will be again this year. I haven't noticed it being bad at all, although we did get one rough North sea crossing.
