My husband and I will be in port at Nassau on Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas in March and are considering purchasing a resort day pass to RIU. We’re interested in hearing about anyone’s experience and/or recommendation. Thanks!

We went here before they did upgrades, and really enjoyed it. They have a decent breakfast and lunch buffet with a lot of options, provide beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, and the day we were there, the water was warm, calm, and crystal clear (I lost my sunglasses swimming, and found them about 10 feet below, easy to spot). The only downside were the beach vendors selling cigars, coconut drinks and watersports, but that’s everywhere.

We've been to RIU Palace four times (3 times on a day pass, once for a long weekend). I posted my review/pictures of our most recent trip here: http://susancrow.blogspot.com/2016/10/our-all-inclusive-weekend-on-norwegian.html You'll need to scroll down towards the bottom. This was before they changed the hotel to adults-only.

How much is the day pass? Thanks!

$120 a person if you book in advance through Island Marketing: https://bahamascruiseexcursions.com/excursions/riu-inclusive-resort-day-pass/

Prices went up quite a bit when they went adults-only. It used to be $75 through Island Marketing and $100 if you bought the passes at the front desk.
