Weather 11 night Tahiti/Tuamotu cruise - July 1 - 12?

We are heading to Tahiti Tuesday and will spend 2 nights in Papeete before heading our on our 11 night Windstar Tuamotu and Society Islands cruise. We have been checking the weather and the highs during the day are mid 80s and at night the high 70s. I talked to a friend today who was in Tahiti last year and he commented that it would be cool this time of year. We are all packed and I have prepared for warm weather...one cardigan and light rain jacket but otherwise planning for warm, tropical weather. Will I be unprepared for the weather?
