Smoking on Board

As i am in the minority and still a smoker can someone give me advice on smoking on board ship i.e are there designated smoking areas? are you allowed to smoke in balcony cabins on the balcony?:o

You can smoke in some bars, some areas of the outside decks and on your private balconies.

We sailed on Island Escape in April 2009 - smoking not allowed inside ship anywhere - only designated areas on outside decks. The change came into effect in April.

Just returned - can't smoke anywhere except outside the bar at the back of the ship. Can't even smoke in sunbathing areas even though you are outside - ridiculous:mad:

I think he / she's a bit mixed up with the no smoking policy indoors that Thomson's and P and O have, but allow smoking outside.

Hope thats the case B coz I think they would lose some custom if that was the case.

Although this will be our 1st cruise I don't think it will be our last ;)

They'd lose too much income if they did and people would just go over to lines like Royal Caribbean, Costa, NCL etc.
