Silver Machine Posted September 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2009 This will be our third cruise - going on Sea Princess ex Montego Bay on Dec 19th for two weeks. We've never been away at Christmas before and we're also celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. I would like to surprise my hubby by taking our own bottle of champers but I believe you can't take your own alcohol on board ship. Is there any way round this - on previous cruises we've been happy to buy from the bars but hubby was made redundant in March and with the economy tight, we're on a budget now. Appreciate any help/advice/tips. Many thanks, Pauline :)
peterv Posted September 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Princess allows you to take wine onboard, so your champers will be fine. Cheers, Peter
paul929207 Posted September 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2009 The Princess Passage Contract specifies the wine and champagne may be carried on board. If youhave it in a dining room, there is a $15 corkage fee. Otherwise, no charge.
Rare Waynetor Posted September 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Just for further clarification - The wine or champagne that Princess allows to be brought on must be brought on at embarkation port. Bringing on at other ports it is subject to confiscation until end of cruise. Your Princess contract does not limit the amount you can bring on. I'm doing a 30 day cruise this fall out of Sydney and several cc members on the roll call have indicated they are bringing cases. Just remember it must not be in your carry on when flying. Wayne S.
