6 months ago, I was on the Carnival Inspiration and I was playing a buffalo game.  I hit $3000 and the next day on the same machine I hit the max bet and I hit $9000.  It definitely can be done!!!  I'm going again in 10 days and here's to hoping I can repeat that :)

The Countess (aka wife) slapped  a couple of buttons on the penny tickler and  it paid out $1,190 on the Grand last fall. Bought a bottle of Dom Perignon to celebrate.

On the 10 day western Caribbean on the breakaway out of New Orleans on the January 17 2019 sailing, a woman sitting next to me on a Different Machine hit for $10,125.00 give or take a few dollars. Sorry it was late that night. The amazing thing was she was on a so called penny machine, bet minimum 0f $.50 to $5.00. She was Playing $1.00 and hit the grand jackpot.

Then When NCL showed up, after multiple people myself included went to the cashier counter to let them know they were needed, they proceeded to inform the women and her husband that they would only give them half in cash, and the rest would have to be a check.

The arguments over this lasted the last 5 days of a ten day cruise between NCL, the couple who won, and those of us there to witness. We all told them that they had more then enough money to pay cash, just start opening up the machines taking all the money, (aka) slot machines. The machines only took in cash, not checks.

alas the machine next to hers did pay me out $1,125.00 in a jack pot at $3.00 per bet.

I was on the cruise right after this one (jan 23rd out of PC) and the same exact thing happened! This is such a turnoff to me. The lady hit for 10k on the slot machine right behind the coin pusher machines and they were giving her a hard time and ripping the machine apart inspecting it. My friend and I asked the supervisor why they don't rip apart the machines like that when we lose. As of the next day, they still hadn't paid her. This is very disappointing to me, and I lost a lot of faith in NCL. I'm a big casino player, and now I have in the back of my head that if and when I do get that big win, I'm gonna have to jump through hoops to get paid.

The first story was about not getting the full winnings in cash.  But you're saying that NCL was questioning the validity of the jackpot win?  I've never heard of this and it's very upsetting.

Did the staff give a reason for not paying right then and there?  Because I'd be walking around to every single person in the casino telling them exactly what happened and that they wouldn't pay out a jackpot.

I just won $14,100 on dancing drums with an 88 cent bet after about 10 spins on that machine.  I was already down about $600 over all when I hit.

Congratulations, which ship??? I actually witnessed the grand hit on Dacing Drums on each of my last two cruises. One on Adventure of the Seas in September and the Radiance of the Seas in December. Too bad I couldn't hit either considering I played some Dancing Drums almost every day in each of the last two cruises. I did hit the Major though last cruise for $900+ but still came out down a little bit for the cruise.

Anthem, There were actually 4 big jackpots last week that I know of. The most I ever saw on one cruise in 38 cruises.  21,000, 20,000, my 14,000 and an 8,000.  The 20,000 was hit on a new machine, 88 Fortunes Diamond, they just installed 2 days before.  21,000 was on a 88 Fortunes, and the 8,000 was on Power Wheel.

My mom won about 17,000 on Hot Shot slots on Allure in November. The best part is she spent so much leading up to the win that she hit prime status in the casino, which neither of us have ever done before. One ritual we have is walking through the casino the first night before it opens and when she saw it she got excited they had her favorite machine, then checked the jackpot and told me she'd hit it this trip because it never gets that high. She won at about 11pm the last night.

Yes.  On many cruise lines.   Big money, but under the 1200.00 mark.   Which when you do hit, as I did a few months ago, over 1200. On NcL the hand pay wouldn’t pay until I went to my room and gave them my state I’d and social security number.   Then I had to sign I am legit then I was paid.   On that cruise, day one winner on penny slot with 1.00 hit 25K

Last night of the cruise on Escape (5/12-5/19) around 1 AM, when the casino was nearly empty and everyone was packed and asleep, hit for $4000 on a $1 ($10 total bet) Cash Grab machine.  Not a jackpot per say, just won like 30 free spins and they added up.

I take $300 to gamble with when we cruise, same as when we go to land based casinos, once its gone I stop.

On the first cruise a few years ago I was playing the 5 reel Hearts machine.  I got the bonus spins where it spins up top and you get whatever it lands on for every heart during free spins.  It usually lands on $2.50 or $5.00 the lowest amount, well this time it stopped on the top one $100.  I got 10 hearts during free spins, cashed out a little over $1000.  Everyone around was chanting heart, heart, heart during the free spins.  I took the money and invested in 4 cruise next certificates.

Last cruise we took I was playing Dancing Drums, usually play minimum 88 cents.  The pot filled and I got to pick the bonus amount, its usually the mini $30.  Shocked me when it hit the Major for $1100.

When I win I still stick to my $300 limit, if I keep playing after a big win I stop at that limit.

I only drink free in the casino, don’t add on a drink package, works for me, I gamble with the money I would have spent on drinks.  I learned that from a woman I met in the casino, she books the cheapest inside room, drinks in the casino.  She was playing 88 fortune machine at 38 cents a spin, taking her sweet time between spins.  Good on her, it was all she could afford but enjoyed her cruises.
