Well I am living proof of a "BIG" winner. I was on a cruise in 06 Carnival Destiny and won 15,000.00 on a triple/double stars machine.

It was our second day and we were scheduled to be in Dominica, but after we left St Thomas the night before a woman had a heart attack and in the middle of the night they took her back to port so we could not stop in Dominica. They opened the casino up at 10am, so hubby and headed down there. I had 300 dollars in my purse and walk up to a rown of machines that 3 ladies were playing at. One of them said "this machine sucks" so they moved across to another bank. I walk up and put 100 dollars in. It was a multi demo machine 1/5/10/25 dollar, 2 credit max machine. I spun the max credit at $5 (10 total) and nothing...I almost cashed out, but decided to hit it one more time.......Jackpot, 3000 credits. I thought I won 3K but it was credits so it was 15K.....and while I was waiting for them to pay me...I hit 5k more on wheel of fortune! People were freaking out in the casino...I could not stop winning it was actually kinda scary after a while.

The casino comped every cocktail that I and my party consumed in the casino for the whole cruise, which totaled about 4K..there were 6 of us.

What I bought with my total of winnings...2 more cruises one with just me and huby and another for the whole family 10 of us. A diamong ring for my husband and for each of my kids. My totally winnings for the entire cruise was just over 26K. They paid me all in cash and yes I was W2-g'd. I wright off my expenses so I paid no tax on those winnings that year.

It was an absloute AMAZING once in a lifetime trip.

Also the woman who had a heart attack ended up being ok..funny how the ship was named the Destiny.......

On the NCL Gem my husband wasnt feeling well but I wanted to gamble a little. Down to my last 20 I decided to play the 5X5X5X $1 machine (max bet 2 coins) and I got the 5X5X5X for $10,000. My husband had a VERY quick recovery! We also had a royal flush dealt to us on a 3 line video poker machine and a few .25 single line royals.

Contact-I emailed- CAS, and ask for a win-loss statement. You'll be asked the ship, dates you traveled and, if I remember correctly, the cruise number of the ship. If you saved your reservation and/or boarding pass, the number will be on that. This part was not mandatory.

You can also call them.

Thanks--I thought it was over 3K. CAS stands for Casinos At Sea. I believe its for all Carnival and Carnival-owned ships, like Princess, Costa,Holland America, etc.

I just found my statement. I think you said you were on Grand Princess. This is from Princess Players Club. The info is: Michael Bayona, Player Development Coordinator,Carnival Corp. Casino Div., 1-800-522-7466 ext.#16034. Email is:mbayona@carnival.com

Wait til you see your statement! Info is based on data received from the "Slot Tracking System" and records play only when you use your card. It gives you total hours of play, total wagers, wins and, naturally, total win and total loss.

I won a hand-paid jackpot at a local casino and 1600$ in taxes were automatically paid. So now I'm getting all my win-loss statements from any casino I played at this past year. Hopefully, I'll get some of that money back!:D:D

August 2010 I took my first cruise on the Sapphire Princess to Alaska from Seattle. I played the Wheel of Fortune machine (dollar slot) and hit the 1,000 spin at the top. The second night I played the machine to the right of the first one and did the same. On the third night I did it on the first machine again. I put much of it back in on other machines and spent the rest on the ship, but it sure was a rush! I know that they pay off sometimes, but the odds are NOT in the players favor! But hey, if you never play, you definately won't win! :D
