I am doing a last minute cruise on NCL next month. This was great deal and I doing this cruise instead of my usual Laughlin Thanksgiving trip.

This is Nov 14-21 on the Norwegian star going to the Mexican Rivera, My friend and cousin Alan Belliston is going with me.

Here is another unfinished review.....Why ?

He agreed with us that it was very hot… his little gadget that measures the temperature read 78 degrees… ummm, yeah that’s like what the temperature should be OUTSIDE and NOT in my cabin. So he did something to turn it all the way down and said it should cool down in a few minutes. He said the lowest temperature cabins go down to is 72 degrees… eh! It sort of cooled down, but not as much as we are comfortable with for sleeping temps…. But it was late and we were exhausted. Our CC friends Gigi and Geoff were down the hall from us in an oceanview and they also had A/C issues. I wonder if this was a fluke or it’s the norm for this area of the ship!?!?!

 

We were in an inside cabin (on the Carnival Valor) last December and the same thing happened with us... no matter what they did, we sweated! Never had an inside before and will never again! Way too steamy for us... :mad:

She was online yesterday. I think some people get bored and don't finish or real life gets in the way? I know my review tailed off pretty bad at the end. :p

We arrived at our cabin, 2246 – this is a great cabin location, between the Atrium and Mid-ship elevators.

Heard from Fofita......she is fine :) But as someone suggested, "life got in the way"....I tried to sort of coax her into finishing, even if not in such detail, and she said she might be back on in a few days to perhaps just post pictures....However, it's a time consuming process and she's quite busy right now.

Yes, according to the deck plan 2246 is an 'ocean view' cabin. I'm wondering if by "inside", she was possibly referring to the fact that it's "in the belly of the whale" so to speak (being on deck 2).......but now I'm just putting words in her mouth, so don't quote me. :D

September 6-13, 2009 (Sunday-Sunday)

Our cruise was in the order of:

Saturday, the 5th, stayed at Intercontinental Hotel....could see the ship from our window. Getting anxious now.

1. Miami

2. day-at-sea

3. Cayman, (StingRay City then Island Tour)

4. Roatan, Honduras, (ZIP Lining and then Foster's Beach) With Fofita and her cousin

5. Belize City, (ATV Jungle Tour then Cave Tubing) With Fofita and her cousin

6. Cozumel.... (Dolphin Discovery)

7. day-at-sea (where, on 9-11, we changed course to assist in the rescue of a stranded Mexican fishing vessel roughly 100 miles off the Mexican coast)

8. back to Miami

I read your review thoroughly as my family and I will be on the Valor in April. I quickly learned you are a fellow Dominican and it made me very proud to read all the comments posted by those that met you during the cruise. You are one smart and mature woman! It makes me proud that we are co-patriots!! Your review of the zip lining in Honduras was so good we are planning to do that when we go, along with the beach stop (thanks for the tip on sand flees)

 

I am sorry you did not finish the review but i understand how life can get in the way of fun :)
