Dinner Menus in Kings Court

Are the dinner hours and the menus the same each night for the different eating areas?

If you dine in The Carvery or La Piazza you can choose your own time to eat - you do need to call ahead for a reservation. The menu does not change - we have sailed 6 times on QM2 - I do not remember seeing a menu change in either restaurant. The Lotus and Chef's Galley menu does change. You still need to make a reservation - Chef's Galley is small so book ahead early. Hopefully my memory is correct. We are sailing in a few weeks so I will correct myself if wrong.

Is the Chef's Galley only dinner? Or lunch too?

Lunch and breakfast. Deli style - omelettes - waffles for breakfast - hamburgers and sandwiches for lunch. Good selection of breads and cold meats - smoked salmon etc.

Here are the times again which I posted last week in case anyone missed it:

The following is an example of restaurant hours one day in July this year. This could vary slightly each day. A different section will be the buffet on different evenings.

Breakfast hours:

La Piazza: 4.00am-6.00am

Lotus: 6.30am-10.30am

Carvery: 7.30am-11.00am

Chef’s Galley: 7.00am-9.30am

Lunch:

La Piazza: 11.30am-2.00pm

Lotus: 11.30am-2.30pm

Carvery: 12.00pm-3.00pm

Chef’s Galley deli lunch: 11.00am-3.00pm

A la carte dinner:

La Piazza: 7.00pm-9.00pm (booking required)

Lotus: 7.00pm-9.00pm (booking required)

Chef’s Galley: 7.00pm-9.00pm (booking required)

Buffet dinner:

The Carvery: 5.30pm-11.00pm

Marie50-

From your question I was not sure if you knew this. Chef's Galley is always La Carte in the evening, but of the other 3 one is buffet and the other 2 La Carte. They rotate which one in buffet, and the buffet still reflects the theme of the resterant.

No there is not. It's a nice alternative to Todd English.

That is good news! We might have to try it one night! So, is Todd English the only "pay extra" dining venue on the QM 2?

Thanks for your help!

As I recall, Chef's Galley was closed quite a lot in the evening recently.

Enjoyed it at lunch time though.

Really - do you know why?? We always have a hard time getting a reservation - need to book early in the morning. There are only a few tables - the room is quite small. It is very popular and the food is excellent.
